DIY :: Hanukkah Centerpiece
Last winter we had our friends over for a Hanukkah celebration. I wanted the table to look pretty but had minimal energy while I was pregnant with my second bebe. The fast and dirty Hanukkah centerpiece that I came up with is pictured above. I ordered 3 bunches of blue hydrangeas from FreshDirect (not exactly in season but they were available and the color scheme was right). I packed the blue hydrangeas into three 5" glass cubes and lined them down the center of the table, which was covered with kraft paper (no need to iron a tablecloth and super easy for cleanup as it can be recycled!). I scattered a few packages of chocolate gelt around each of the hydrangea arrangements and the table looked great! The only thing I would do different next time is to maybe use faux gelt instead of chocolate, since the little ones had a hard time holding off on the chocolate until the end of the meal.
I am definitely going to repeat this centerpiece again this year, but maybe change it up by using white butcher paper as the table covering. What's your favorite way to decorate for Hanukkah? Share in the comments!
